HEAVY FINE IMPOSED. By Telegraph—Press Association. WANGANUI, June 2. Pleading guilty to charges of drunkenness while in charge of a motor-car, and with breaking a prohibition order, Edward Pask, who appeared before Mr J. H. Salmon, S.M., to-day, was fined £SO, and his license was endorsed. The penalty was imposed in respect of the first charge, accused being convicted and discharged on the second count. Pask is a sawmiller, of Te Awamutu, and counsel pointed out that the use of the car was essential to his business.
