THE SEASIDE.

The seaside is a lovely place For every girl and boy; There are gay smiles on every face, To show they’re full of joy.

You always see them by the sea, On which the ships pass o’er. We like to watch the lovely sea, That rolls up to the shore.

The sand there is not really gold; If you look, you’ll agree That it is worn from rocks so old, By the everlasting sea.

So now whenever you get a chance, Just have a day by the sea; You Bhould, if with joy you want to dance, —So take that advice from me. (3 Marks and a Merit Card awarded to “Will O’ the Wisp,”—Alma Stowell, Pareora West, aged 13.)
