BRITAIN’S FINE CREDIT.
RESPONSE TO CONVERSION LOAN (United Press Association —By Eleotrle Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received March 7, 8.30 pm.) LONDON, March 7. In the House of Commons, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr Philip Snowden, said the amount of the New Conversion Loan issued for cash was £155,325,000, and by conversion of 5J per cent. Treasury bonds, £30.372,000. In addition, £33,500.000 worth of war loan 1929-47 bonds had been converted into the new Conversion Loan.
