EXPERIMENTS ON STEAMER. (United Press Association—By iillectrlo Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, March 6. in the Pulverised coal apparatus for ships’ boilers was marked by the Hororata’s departuie for New Zealand with all except one boiler fired by automatic press, She has already made two journeys with half the boilers heated by pulverised coal. It is now hoped that the five will do the work of six boilers. She will need twelve fewer stokers. It is estimated that the new system will save £SOOO annually.
