In response to appeals from the Canterbury Branch of the British Empire Cancer Campaign Society for active support and contributions to the funds to enable further research work to be carried out and increased supplies of radium made available to combat cancer, the chairman of the Geraldine County Council, Mr K. McKenzie, and the Mayor of Geraldine, Mr J. Kennedy, have decided to provide the people of Geraldine district with an opportunity to help in the cam- - paign. An appeal is made to the residents : of the district to forward donations to the Geraldine Borough Council office. All contributions will be forwarded to | the secretary of the Canterbury branch. ! and will be acknowledged through the j newspapers.
