CANADIANS AT DUNEDIN. By TelesraDh—Press -Association. DUNEDIN, February 3. A six-rink game between the Canadian bowlers and the Dunedin Centre was played on the Dunedin Club’s green today, in glorious weather. The green was in splendid order, and the manager of the team (Dr. Krupp) said it was the finest surface they had played on in New Zealand. The game resulted in a win for Dunedin by 124 to 120. “TOO COMMON.” By Telegraph—Press Association. GISBORNE, February 3. Declaring theft of cars to be too prevalent, the Magistrate (Mr Harper), sentenced a youth, Alfred Arthur Gur. ney, to a months’ imprisonment for the conversion of a car to his own use at Napier. “CONVERTERS” GAOLED. At the Police Court, Robert Bruce McKinlay was sentenced to three months' imprisonment, and Arnold Aloysius Haggit to one month’s imprisonment for 'converting u car to their own use from the Forbury Park trots on Saturday. ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGE. By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, February 3. Kone Pairana, a fanner, was remanded till February 10 on a charge of attempting to murder Tini Ahurangi, at Pairuhue, near Te Kuiti.
