Mr F. L. Wooles. Wind moderate to strong southerly; later more variable; weather somewhat unsettled, but mainly fair and cool. Dominion Meteorologist. The westerly depression of the last few days is now crossing New Zealand, and barometers are rising over Eastern Australia. Expect winds westerly and strong, backing shortly to south-west, and later to south. Seas rough generally. Weather changeable and squally; rain probable in most districts, with some heavy falls in western and southern districts. Temperatures becoming cooler.
