BRISTOL CUP. WON BY KIA TOA. A Bristol Cup match was played on the Timaru green on Saturday between Timaru (holders) and Kia Toa (challengers). Timaru had gained a lead of 20 at the seventh head. Kia Toa then obtained the strength of the green, which was fast, and at the fourteenth head they were 8 up. They increased this lead to the twenty-first head, finishing 24 up. Mr C. H. Gresson, president of the Timaru Club, handed over the Cup to Mr McJennett, president of Kia Toa, with congratulations on the club’s good win.
