The Mayor (Mr W. Angland) left for Wellington yesterday to attend c meeting of the Executive of the Municipal Association.

Mr D. Malcolm, of the staff of th Timaru Magistrate's Court, has receii ed notice of his transfer to Balcluth as Clerk of the Court. Mr J. M. Dwyt of Dunedin, has been transferred t Timaru.

Mr A. E. Wishart, son of Mr R. IT Wishart. Smithfield. Timaru. has bee appointed sole charge teacher at Puli Puki, Kaikoura. Mr Wishart has beei on the staff of the Nelson Park School Napier, and will take up his new position after the term holidays.
