Mr F. L. Wooles. Wind westerly to southerly, strong and squally at times; weather changeable and cold, with scattered showers. Dominion Meteorologist. A depression crossed the Dominion last night, and another and more intense one is now approaching rapidly from the West. An intense anti-cyclone is centred near the Australian Bight. Winds north-westerly, moderate to strong generally, and in places of gale force; a change to south-westerlies is probable after 24 to 36 hours. Seas moderate in most coastal waters on the East Coast, but otherwise rough generally. Weather changeable, squally, and unsettled with raih in most districts; some heavy falls in western districts, and snow on the highlands. A cold change is probable after 24 to 36 hours.
