Mr F. L. Wooles. Wind moderate southerly, changing to easterly; weather fair and cold. Dominion Meteorologist. The cyclone is now centred east of Chatham Islands. An intense anticyclone advancing from Australia Is already moving on to the South Island. Expect winds south-west to southerly, still strong to gale force an the East Coast; elsewhere moderate to fresh, decreasing gradually everywhere. Seas still rough on the East Coast, and moderate to rather rough on the West Coast, but moderating generally. Moderate to fresh southerly winds and rather rough seas in the Eastern Tasman, but winds and seas decreasing. Weather still rather unsettled on the East Coast, with scattered showers, mainly between Castlepoint and East Cape, but improving, and otherwise fair to fine. Cold temperatures, with many frosts.
