PLEASANT POINT.

♦ MB T. D. BURNETT. M.P., TO BE HONOURED. A further meeting of the supporters of Mr T. D. Burnett. M.P.. was held at the Town Hall, Pleasant Point, to consider the question of holding a function in honour of Mr Burnett. There was a very good attendance, ! representative of Pleasant Point and the surrounding districts, including a number of ladies. Mr M. F. Mage was voted to the chair. It was unanimously resolved that the function take the -> form of a banquet, and that it be held on May 21st at Pleasant Point Town Hall. It was decided to issue Invitations to Mr F. J. Rolleston, and Mr Bitchener, M.P. for Waitaki, the Mayor of Temuka. and members representing the various other centres of the electorate, and that the function commence at 8 p.m.
