NEEDS OF MODERN YOUTH.
Examples Not Criticism
BISHOP’S APPEAL TO PARENTS. (Jotted Prase Association—By ElectiL Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received March 4, 10.0 p.m.) SYDNEY, March 4. The Bishop of Bathurst (Dr. Croty) in a sermon, said: “What modern youth wants is not so much criticism as examples. Parents to-day are preoccupied with material tasks, and do not so much lead their offspring as follow them, with an almost comical gluttony, on their youthful pleasure hunt. 1 have no desire to condemn middle-aged to a life of joylessness, but when the middle age and old jge vacate th© throne of moral leadership to scramble with youth for the fleshpots of existence, the depths of treachery to God and man, surely have been reached. Tho Church instead < f fuming against modern youth, should do something to save it from the things which ar© poisoning and unbalancing it.
