MR VINNELL TO STAND. Asked by a “Herald” reporter yesterday if lie had come to a decision in regard to contesting the Mayoralty at the forthcoming Alunicipal elections. Air P. C. Vnine 11 stated that he had decided to stand against all comers. It is understood that Air C. W. \J T ood was also approached, and asked to allow himself to be nominated, but owing to business reasons. Air Wood could not see his way clear to consent. Air D. C. Turnbull, who was mentioned as one who was to be asked to stand, yesterday stated that lie did not intend to be a candidate.
