IT ISN’T WHAT YOU PAY IT’S WHAT YOU GET THAT COUNTS.
■When considering the purchase of a Radio Set do not conclude that it is necessary to pay a big price, or have lots of valves in order to obtain the best results. A 4-Valve Set properly constructed will give all or more than you require, and the upkeep cost is correspondingly lower. Results obtained by one Timaru user of my 4-Valve Set are:—3s stations on the loud speaker at good strength, including 4 Japanese and 5 American stations. IYA, 2YA, 3YA during the afternoon—without an aerial —■ and the Australian A stations on i short indoor aerial. The price of these sets is only £l2/10/- bare. Ask any user all about them. Hear one—Compare it with any five or six-valve set. You may think that because they are made in Timaru they are not much good, but it will cost you nothing to prove how wrong that is.
