Within 15 minutes last night a lire station officer, Mr Alcnzies, assisted by a Policeman and a South. Tead signalman, prevented two men from throwing themselves over “the Gap’’ at Watson’s Bay. One man, maddened by drink, was within a few yards of the cliff when Air Menzies grabbed and managed to hold him till a policeman arrived. The other man told a story of an unhappy life.
