SWIMMING.
FAIRLIE AMATEUR CLUB. The Club championships for Mackenzie County were bold in the Public Baths. There was a good attendance and the several events were keenly contested. The championships were won bv the following:— Ladies’ 50 Yards.—Miss Doris Doyle ]. Miss Fairlie Dale 2. Men’s 75 Yards—Sclwvn Cooper 1, W. 800 l 2. Primary Schoolgirls—Ngaire Sullivan 1. N. Cooper 2. Primary Schoolboys—Frank Pickering 1, A. Cutliill 2.' Secondary School Girls—Fairlie Dale 1. K. Bell‘2. Secondary School Bovs—Arthur Skinner I,'C. Rowan 2. The following handicap events also took place : 25 Yards School Girls—R. Doyle 1, F. Dale 2. E. Crichton 3. 25 Yards School Bovs—A. Cuthill 1. 1. Brown 2. V. Watkius.m 3. At the conclusion of die races the President (Mr R. L. Banks) presented the A itch i.son Steams Challenge Cup to Miss DovJe. and the Grant Challenge Cup to Mr G. Cooper.
