Dr. T. Fletcher Telford (Medical Officer of Health for Canterbury) arrived in Tiraaru yesterday. Mr F. W. Millar, secretary of the New Zealand Public Servants' Association ( Wellington), travelled south yesterday morning. Mr Thomas Buxton, formerly Member of Parliament for Temnka, and Slinister of Agriculture in the Mackenzie Government in 1012, has been in Timaru this week. Constable Edward Phillips (Mosgiel), and Constable Reuben Phillips (Masterton), wore in Temuka yesterday and attended the funeral of their late father. Mr George Phillips. Mr Julian R. Foster. American Trade Commissioner in New Zealand will leave to-day for America where he will visit several States and also lecture on New Zealand, supplementing the remarks by the screening of films spo -inllv prepared for him by the New Zealand Publicity Department. He will return to New Zealand at a later date.—Press Association message from Wellington.
