Funny thing human nature! As a rule the chap that doesn’t drink insists that nobody else should drink; the lion-theatre-goer disapproves of anyone else going to theatres; 'the I party that doesn’t read novels or play I cards objects to anyone else reading novels or playing cards; and the man that hates tobacco indignantly demands that everyone else should hate tobacco. And yet these “bad habits” persist! And ns for smoking, it’s about 'the only pleasure that multitudes of people have. A very harmless pleasure, sure- | Iv? When smoking proves injuriousl it’s because there’s too much nicotine . in the tobacco. Most foreign brands ‘ are full of the stuff. Then why smoke them ? Our New Zealand tobaccos are practically free from the poison. Smoke them as freely as you please and they’ll do you no harm. Unlike all other tobaccos, the New* Zealand are toasted. Hence their delicious fragrance and flavour. They appeal irresistibly to all smokers.
