BYRD EXPEDITION.
MESSAGE FROM LEADER. WELLINGTON. Dec. 11. Mr Brophy, second in command of the Byrd expedition received a radio from Commander Byrd: “We left the Bolling in tlm Ross S"a. E;<p et her arrive at Dunedin, D.-eemher 2ilst.” He states that the coal mentioned in the cable message is that, carried hy the Eleanorf 'Bolling, which was to he transhipped by gear rigged on a towing hawser. Mr Brophy call d on the Ministers of Armine and Railways, and expressed appreciation of the facilities offer'd thw expedition, and especially complimented the Wellington Harbour Board on flic valuable assistance giv n.
