The light heavyweight wrestling championship of the world was decided at the Sydney Stadium, whefi Clarence Idlund'(l2.6J), the title holder, defeated Ted Thye (12.4). with the hnnunerxock hold, and a fall’ in the sixth round . Hie contest was billed as a tenround affair, but so severely did Idlund wrench Tliye’s arm, almost breaking it out of the socket, that the referee stopped the bout, and declared Idlund the winner. . Count Zarynoff (12.1.1) beat Pinkie Gardner (12.4), scoring a fall in the sixth round.
