Tennison, fireman on the Blue Star liner Troian Star, was killeu, six were badly burned and two gassed ns a result W oil leaking from feed pipes and catching fire. The men were trapped in the blazing stokehold. Two braved the flames and won through, while live others dived headlong into the bilges and escaoed. The vessel was saved when the main steam pipe burst, smothering the fire.
