TOURNEY AT PAHIATUA. By Telesrap h —Press Association. PAHIATUA; July 11. After njanv years a boxing revival, which' took the form of a very successful amateur 1 tournament was he'd las'n" night. There was a very large attendance and some brisk bouie wore witnessed, the principal being trie middleweight—McDonald (To Kuiti) v. T. Halpin (Woodville), a three round bout the verdict being a draw. In J. Hepburn (ifeildinig) v. R. Holden (Ruawhata) tho referee intervened m iihe third round to save Holden from a superior opponent. Hepburn received a medal for trte most scientific display. In the lightweight, six two minute rounds. Johnnie Bench (Pnhiatua) v. Sid Hogan (Dannevirke), the decision wont to Beech. It was a splendid contest. In the featherweight, A. Candy (Palmerston North ) v. D. Price (Bedding), four two minute rounds, the referee was unable to divide them at the finish.
