(From Our Own Correspondent). TENNIS. The Clandeboye Tennis Club has completed a singles handicap tournament (21 points np) for a trophy donated by Mr J. Boocock, vice-president. The tournament was won by Miss Flett. R First Round.—J. Henderson (3) beat M iss Goodson (5). Second Round.—Miss N. Hickey (3) boat Mrs Henderson (G), Miss Flett (1) heat Miss E. Liddle (scr), Mre Cartwright (scr) beat J. Henderson (3), Miss Prestidge a,bye. . Semi-finals.—Mrs Cartwright (scr) beat Miss N. Hickey (3), Miss Flett (1) beat Miss Prestidge (4). Final.—Miss Flett (1) beat Mrs Cartwright (scr). ■ BACHELORS’ AND SPINSTERS’ , BALL.
There was a large attendance of bachelors and spinsters at a meeting on Monday evening to arrange for the annual'ball. Mr Bruce Pemberton presided. Mr Alex Heer and Miss Flett were appointed joint secretaries and a strong general committee was set up.
