EE I’m the buoyant, agile and free == = Final craft of the Powers that Be; EES ~ And I swoop and I swerve, == SEE And I circle and curve— EES = I’m the ship of the Uppermost Sea. == EE With my white sails outspread, and my prow EE ~ Pointing high o’er the luminous brow == Of the cloud mountains, I EE EES Cleave my way through the sky; EE == I’m the marvel of Nineteen-and-now. == EE AA’ings—to keep time to the breeze as it sings EE: zzz Songs of adventure and quest: EE Tail—to disport with the tempest or gale— SS ES Ho, for the East and the West! sss EES I’m the sum of the deeds Man has done, EE I’m the substance of victories won; == EE The vague dream of the vast EE Many centuries past— == EE And the fact of the one now begun EE: And the sunshiny air-billows, whirled == EE Right and left by my swift keel and curled =E EE Into vaporous spray, EE EE: One by one fall away == EE O’er the farthermost rim of the world. ES E~ Wings—to give hail to the breeze as it brings EE SSS Word of wet weather or drought: srr Tail—to wigwag to the tempest or gale— sr: ss: Ho, for the North and the South!
