SWORD SOLD FOR £3OOO.

The sum of £20,000 has been realised at the auction sale in London of the collection of armour of the late Air S. J. AVhawell. -A “Spinola sword,” on the hilt of which the Biblical scenes are chiselled, realised £3 000. The sword belonged originally to the Marquis Spinola, an Italian general in the Spanish service in llie Netherlands in 1609.
