Morrison-has taken over the Regent confectionery store, next Grand Theatre, and that the shop will be conducted on approved linos under the new proprietor’s supervision A The greatest attraction for the week will ho ihe big fancy dress procession leaving the Hydro at 1.15 tonight. All invited A social and presentation to Mr and Mrs Southward will be held in the Seadown on September 23. Trap-sliooters will bo well catered for next Thursday, when the Timaru Gun Club’s championship will be shot off at Saltwater Creek. Following -this a £2O open match will be held, and as many sweepstakes as time permits. Shooting will commence with the championship match at 1.30 sharp. Mr J. D. 11. Buchanan, 8.A., Cambridge, announces that he intends opening a preparatory school for boys, commencing February, 1928. A very suitable house and grounds have been secured in Otipua Road, just off Wai-iti Road, and Mr Buchanan will be pleased to supply terms and prospectuses on application. Mr Buchanan is at present junior house master at Christ’s College, and was previously on the staff of the Ileretaunga School, Havelock North.
