WANDERING STOCK.
To the Editor of the “Timaru Herald.’ Sir,— According to the Ranger’s report to the last meeting of the Levels County Council, he—the Ranger—impounded forty-seven head of stock. Judging by the number of cattle and horses usually seen running at large, the number impounded should have been nearer one hundred and fortyseven. —I am, etc., LONG PADDOCK.
