To the Editor of the “Timaru Herald.” Sir, —The highest record to be put up under semi-official test in Canterbury, during the past season, is that of a junior two-year-old Friesian heifer, “Rosevale Queen Isobel Posch” with a record of 701.31 b fat, 21,7921 b milk in 365 days. This lieifer milked over eight gallons of milk a day at her best, averaging eight gallons milk a day foi one month, seven gallons milk a dav for six months, and six gallons of milk a day for the complete year. 11ns brings tldiT.Ood g yea i'4r on is a butterfat record for any two-year-old heifer in Canterbury, and a milk record for any heifer in Australasia. She id owned and was tested by Mr T. Sherriff, of Clandeboye. This is the fourth two-year-old heifer that Mr Sherriff has tested, and brings their aggregate average production up to over 6001 b) fat each for the year. Mr Sherriff also has another heifer under semi-official test, which is expected to produce over 7001 b fat in the year.
