MART REPORTS.

THE RIALTO. H. Allchurch and Co. report for the week ended July 2: —At our weekly "Rialto” sale on Friday, we had a good entry of poultry and pigs, 50 pens of poultry being entered, whild 15 pigs of various grades were yarded. At present there is a fair demand for all classes of table poultry. Prices realised were as follows: Poultry.-—Hens, heavy, 4/- to 5/6, others 3/3 to 3/9; cockerels, heavy, 5/- to 6/6, others 3/3 to 4/-; ducks 5/- to 7/-, roosters 3/- to 5/6 pair, geese 3/6 each, turkey gobblers 11/'each. Pigs.—Weaners 13/6, 15/6, 17/6, ; 18/6 each, slips 21/- each. Produce. —Wheat 16/- to 22/-, .potatoes 10/- to 12/-, swedes 5/- to 6/sack, carrots 1/6 to 2/6, beetroot 2/-, swedes 2/- to 2/6, parsnips 1/6 to 3/6 kit; honey (bulk) 6d lb; bacon, rolls 1/- lb, onions 4/3 per cental. Fruit. —Apples, Delicious and Jon-j athan 9/6 to 11/-, inferior grades, 7/- to 8/6 case, walnuts 9d per lb. j Eggs.—Fairly good . supplies of | eggs are coming to hand, and the de- i mand is again very keen. r f.ie - '*irice ' during the earlier part of the week ; was 2/3, but at the latter part the; price advanced to 2/4, and remains unchanged. Furniture and Effects. —On Friday we disposed of a fair quantity of furniture and effects at satisfactory prices. On Wednesday, 29th ult.. we held a clearing sale on account of j the estate of the late R. A. Fonseca, i at Selwyn Street, when the whole of his building tools and stock in trade were disposed of at satisfactory prices. In addition the whole of the household furniture and effects were disposed of at satisfactory prices. • THE RIALTO, TEMUKA. Mr A. H. Ferfn submits the following report for week ended July 2: Poultry.—Fair entry. Hens, light 3/- to 4/-; ducks 6/- pair. Wheat, seconds 15/- to 16/-; oats 13/6 to 16/-, table potatoes 8/sack, pig potatoes 2/6 to 3/6,' bacon lOd to 1/1 lb. Fruit.—Dessert apples 8/- to 10/-, cooking 6/6 to 8/6, pears 2Jd lb. Furniture in good order, is in fair demand.
