In the House of Commons, replying to Viscount Sandon, who asked the position of . immigration to Victoria, Colonel Amery said he understood tile Victorian land settlement scheme had been suspended but nominated persons, men with farm experience, and women for household service, were accepted aa hitherto. The 1925 agreement was between Great Britain and the Commonwealth, and it was impossible to say how far this might bo affected by the change of policy in Victoria.
