THE WEATHER.

To the Editor of the “Timaru Herald.” .Sir, —Although we have been getting very cold weather and hard frosts this time of the year, still we have been fortunate to get most of it from the high country. If it had come from the south, the weather would have been unsettled, with considerable rainfall. I may say we cannot expect warm weather for a few weeks yet, being the turn of the season. Till Jupiter and the Planets get in working order again. I believe we are going to get a good early spring. The weather we have been getting, points that way.—l am, GEORGE MOORE.
