HIGH SCHOOL FOR WAIMATE.

APPROVED BY MINISTER. (Special to the “Herald.”) WAIMATE, July 4. Mr S. I. Fitch,, chairman of the Waimate High School. Board, yesterday received a letter from the Director of' Education stating that, acting on the recommendation of the Council of Education, the Minister of Education had approved of a separate High School for Waimate, and the matter was to be put in hand at once. It is hopfd that the new selicol will be ready at the commencement of the 1928 school year.
