ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.

MAN AG EMENT COMMITTEE. The weekly meeting of tlio Managemeb Committee of the South Canterbury Football Association was held on Monday night. Owing to tho unavoidable absence of the president, Mr Snedden occupied the chair. A full attendance of members was present. A report from the deputation to the Works Committee of tho Borough Council was adopted, and the members thanked for their services. Correspondence was received from Mr E. Long, director of boys’ work, Y.M.C.A., Christchurch, asking for a match against a Timaru boys’ team. — Agreed to fix same at a later date. It was agreed to invite _ Oamaru Rangers to send a team toi Timaru at Easter time, to play Colmoco Football Club. Notice of motion to effect an alteration to starting games for tho Cave Cup was rejected. It was resolved to ask the president of the Thistle Club to hand over the jerseys and gear belonging to tho club to the S.C.F.A.. with a view to reorganising the club. The secretary was instructed to inform Ashburton Wanderers’ Fcotball Club that no team would be available to travel at Easter. It was agreed to allow tho secretary to call the next meeting of tho committee by advertisement.

Accounts amounting to £2 17s 3d were passed for payment.
