WEDDING.

SAVAIN—CLARKE. On Alareh 30tli a very pretty wedding was celebrated at the Baptist Church AYllson Street, when Aliss Isabella Kirse, second daughter of Air and Airs 'l. Clarke, Fairlie, and niece of Air and Airs D. Campbell of Timaru, was united in the bonds of holy matrimony to Alexander, eldest son oi Air and Airs A. E. L. Swain, Timaru. Tile Rev. C. AAA Duncumb officiated. Aliss O. Rne presided at the organ. 'J'he church was tastefully decorated by girl iriends. The bride, who was given away by her uncle—Air Campbell—wore a pretty frock of ivory georgette ornamented with- pearls and silver beads. Her veil was held in place by a wreath of orange blossoms. Silver brocaded shoes were worn and a- pretty bridal bouquet completed her toilette. The bridesmaids were Aliss Jean Clarke, who wore a dainty pale pink embroidered dress, and Aliss Alary Swain, whose lrock was of pale apricot georgette. Both bridesmaids carried bouquets to tone. The bridegroom was attended by Air E. Swain as best man, and Air D. Clarke as groomsman. On leaving the. church, the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by Alaster Len Swain. After the ceremony, about seventy guests adjourned to the Stafford Tea Rooms, where a dainty breakfast was held, and the usual toasts honoured. The happy couple left by the second express for the north, the bride wearing a becoming ensemble suit of blue, with a hat to match.
