The Governor-General (Sir Charles Fergusson) has received the folloAving telegram from His Royal Highness, the Duke of York:—■ “The Duchess and I hope very much that every school in New Zealand may be given an extra holiday at Easter, to commemorate our visit. (Signed) Albert.” His Excellency has replied to the folloAving effect: —• “Your Royal Highness’s kind thought for the children is deeply appreciated by the Government and people of NeAV Zealand. The Government is communicating Avith the Boards of Education and other controlling authorities, with a vlgav to giving effect to Your Royal Highnesses’ Avishes.”
