MORGAN VERSUS WRIGHT.

PRIVY COUNCIL CASE. An echo of the Morgan-Wright case, which was before the Privy Council last year, was heard in the Supreme Court, at Christchurch. Mr Donnelly, counsel in the case, said that it was the last stage in the case. Mr Justice Alpcrs: You are in optimistic mood this morning, Mr Donnelly. Mr Donnelly: I am, your Honour. Steps will be taken in that direction. The case came up in the form of a motion for an order directing Douglas G. Wright to file accounts in respect to: 1. The purchase money from the sales by him of parts of the Surrey Hills and Windermere Estates, excluding Chapman’s block. 2. The rent and income received in respect to those properties. 3. Particulars of all contracts or agreements relating to the sale, lease, or other disposition by him of any parts of the properties. 4. Descriptions of the arcas ; and particulars of titles. 5. Particulars of the live and dead stock belonging to the trust estate'purchased by Douglas Wright from tho trustees, and the price paid for them. G. The rate of interest paid by Douglas Wright in respect to trust moneys owing by him to the trust or sub-trust from i9OS to 1924, and the current rate of interest payable on loans of a similar nature during that period. The plaintiffs were Florence Jenny Myra Morgan, wife of William Arthur Morgan, of Evandalo, Mount Somers, farmer, and Florence Barbara Morgan and Harry Wright Morgan, infant children o£ Mr and Mrs Morgan. The defendants were Doughs George Wright, of Windermere, Winslow, farmer; Harriet Myra Wright, of Ashburton, widow; and the Hon. W. Nosvorthy, of Mesopotamia Station, Ashburton, farmer. Mr Donnelly, with him Mr Brassington, appeared for tho plaintiffs, and Mr M. J. G reason for Douelas G. Wright, and Mr Cotterill for Mrs Wright and tho Hon. W. Nosworthv, trustees of the estate of the late E. G. Wright. Tho order as asked for was made with modifications, Douglas Wright was al'owed three months in which to file accounts.
