DENTAL CLINICS.
REVIEW OF OPERATIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association, AUCKLAND, March 19. Speaking at- the opening of a new school dental clinic hero to-day, Mr T. A. Hunter, Director of Dental Services, reviewed the work accomplished by the service since its commencement, lie mentioned that clinics already in existence in various parts of ti e Dominiqn were under the supervision of 55 trained operators, who had the dental health - of over 33,000_ children, in their keeping. Since fbey commenced their duties in 1923, dental nurses attached to tho Department had executed over half a uillion operations. The service could not I e extended rapidly enough tc. meet die-lands from the schools. Jt was the problem of securing nurses, as well as the problem of finance, that '<as retarding the growth of the movement.
