At Toronto, Judge Coatesworth sentenced Sterry to sixty days’ gaol, followed by deportation to England. A cablegram received yesterday said:—At Toronto, Ernest V. Sterry, charged with publishing in a pamphlet known as “The Christian Inquirer,” a ••scandalous, impious, blasphemous, profane and indecent libel of and concerning God, the Holy Bible, the body of tho Scriptures and the Chr.stian religion,” was found guilty by the jury to-day.

This is the first case of the kind in Canada.
