MURDER CHARGE.
THE TRIAL OPENED By Telegraph—Press Association. OPOTIKI, January 20. The inquest concerning the death of Jeremaih Williamson, near Torero, on December 1, has been concluded, and a verdict of murder was returned. The tidal of John Sullivan, charged with the murder, opened to-day before the Magistrate (Mr Ivenrick). . . . Evidence for the Crown is proceeding. Mr Noian, Crown Prosecutor, represents she police, and Mr Hodgson appears for the prisoner.
