Mr Holland: urged that i\n oder to provide employment the construction of harbour Walls, promised by tho Minister of Marine be put in hand at once, and that the remainder of the unemployed be found work on the Gorge railway, on which only a. handful of mom are now- working, and on the Coast road, the construction of wdiiell is at, a standstill. The figures relating to unemploys merit w r crc given to Mr Ho'lnnd by Mr Fairhall, of the Labour Department.
