WEDDING.

ROBERTS—SAUNDERS. One of tho prettiest, weddings ever witnessed in Pleasant Point was solemnised at St. John’s Presbyterian Clmreh, on December Bth by the Rev. Wm. iUcNenr, when Madeleine Amy, daughter of Air and Airs Geo. Saunders, was married to Ralph .Harry, son of Air and Airs A. PL. Roberts, of Prospect harm, Pleasant Point. Aliss V. Saunders, sister of the bride, presided at the

organ. The church was beautifully decorated by girl friends of the bride, with a profusion of white flowers relieved with pink and mauve. From an arch decorated with white rose-buds and pink mauvo sweet peas was suspended a beautiful white floral bell under which the- bridal party passed. The bride, who entered the, church o i the arm of her father, to the strains ot the bridal march, looked very sweet in a graceful gown of white satin and silver lace; the bodice, being made on straight lines, and the skirt of silver lace with a petal overskirt of satin. The long lace sleeves were gathered into a tiny satin wrist-hand, and a posy of orange blossom adorned one shoulder. With this were worn silver brocade shoos. Her long veil was daintily arranged with a double row of pearl orange blossom buds and finished at each side with a posy of orange blossom and pearl ornaments. She wore a handsome gold wristlet watch, the gift of Iho bridegroom. A beautiful shower bouquet completed a charming toilet. Aliss Dolcie Saunders, who attended her sister as bridesmaid, wore a dainty frock of pink brocaded satin, trimmed with hand made, flowers and lightly relieved with mauve. Her headband was also of pink and mauve flowers, and she carried a prarty bouquet of asparagus maiden-hair fern and and junk rosebuds, with touches of mauve. Aliss Alyrtle Roberts, who was also in attendance, was gowned m mauve brocaded satin, made as tho fermer, and having touches of pink She wore a headband, of mauve flowers, relieved with pink, and carried a daintv bouquet of mauve rhododendron, pink rosebuds, maidenhair fern and asparagus. Both bridesmaids wore parchment kid shoes, with stockings to tone, and gold armlets, the gift of the bridegroom. Little Alavis Wright, who attended as flower girl, looked very sweet in a dainty frock of mauve crepe do chine, deeply scalloped in pink, and trimmed with pink and mauve streamers and hand embroidery. -Her head band was of mauvo and pink, with torches of silver, and she carried a dainty posv of pink and mauve rhododendron. * She also wore a gold armlet. the gift of tho bridegroom. Attending 'the bridegroom were Mr C. Roberts ns best man and Air A. Saunders as groomsman. After the ceremony, a reception was held in the Town Hall, when about one hundred guests sat down to the wedding breakfast, the usual toasts being honoured. The hall was prettily decorated with whito, pink and mauve streamers and flowers, and a beautiful lanm floral bell was hung over the bridal ‘table. Airs Saunders received ]-er <mpsts weaving a navy silk iepp cost ume, smartlv braided in cinnamon a> raw hat with cinnamon flowers, and a navv ostrich boa.' She earned a bouquet of .redSi and gold rosebuds with gold streamers. Airs Robeits, mother of the bridegroom, wore a smart brown satin frock, brown crinoline hat tn match and a brown marabout-. hue carried a bouquet of pink and gold roses with gold streamers #,atpr in the day. Ah’ and Alls R. 11. Roberts left by motor for Queenstown, and the Lakes, the latter travelling in peach ensemble suit embroidered in silver and blue, a poach crinoline hat trimmed with multi-coloured floueis and shoes and stockings to.match.
