CONGESTION IN STAFFORD STREET.
Tci the Editor of the “Timaru Herald.” Sir,—lt is hard to realise why as progressive a body as the Timaru Borough Council has proved itself to be, should continue to permit its omnibuses to occupy frequently twothirds of the read width at the Bank corner in the main street. Certainly this abuse of the roadway is handy for pedestrians using the buses, but those crossing the street, as well as other road traffic, would appreciate any other arrangement whereby only one side at a time was occupied hv a line of waiting buses. —I am, etc., __ VISITOR.
