FIRES.
LAUNCH ABLAZE. By Telegraph—-Press Association. AUpKLAND, December 28. While tne launcn B-ewluti was lying in Alansion House Bay. Kuwait Island, on Sunday morning, she suddenly burst into flames. When endeavouring to diode tlio outbreak J. Al, Pine's (a member of the crew) clothes caught on lire, and his arm was badly burned before he jumped overboard to save himself. Re was sent to hospital and is progressing satisfactorily. Althouch 24 cases of benzine wore aboard, a party of yachtsmen scuttled the Kewhiti after a half hour's fight. The launch was raised later and towed to Auckland.
