WEDDING.
BROWN—ORCHARD.
The Wesley Church, Fitzgerald Avenue, Christchurch, whs prettily dec- 1 orated with arum lilies and magnolia blossoms on the occasion of the marriage of Kathlen Ann, younger daughter of Mr K Orchard, Riccarton, to Frederick Harold, youngest son of Jlr and Airs H. Caber Brown, Timaru. The Rev. K. D. Patchett officiated, and Mr L. Richard acted as organist. The bridge, who entered the church 1 on the arm of her father, wore a. charming frock of deep cream georgette, with rows of dainty lace gradual-\ w.doning from neck to hem, forming :■ very effective panel down the front. '1 he skirt was .slightly nicked at the waist, and a fold of cream velvet ribbon tiea with a fiat bow over the lace made a. pretty finish. The long lace trimmed sleeves were caught at each wrist to a cuff. Her veil, which was worn ovei her face, was becomingly arranged w.tli > a double row of orange blossom. A beautiful bouquet of cream ranunculi, freesias, and maidenhair fern complete!, a very becoming toilette. 'flic bridesmaids, Misses Irene Cliatterton, and Sue Orchard, cousin of the bride, wore frocks of deep rose-pink georgette with rucked .skirts finished at the waist with velvet- bows, and appliqued flowers of rose-pink velvet. Their cream hats were trimmed with rose-coloured velvet- ribbon, and they carried shown- bouquets of pink tulip and fern. Helen Conway (Dunsandcl,). wearing a frilled frock of cream organ di, and carrying a posy of sprin; flowers, made a pretty little flower-girl Mr F. G. Oboru was best man, am Mr B. Newcombe was groomsman.

Ciub, of which ilu; bridegroom is i prominent member, formed an arch m cars from the church steps in his honour They also scattered tiny silve; shoes before the bridal pair. - A reception was afterwards held at Ballanfcyne’s, the guests being received by Miss E. S. Orchard, aunt .of the bride, who wore a smart vieux rose ensemble suit and crinoline hat of the same .shade. The bride travelled in a .French model frock of tomato satin, embroidered with dull gold, and panel in front ending in tiny accordion pleats. Ovei this was worn a navy repp coat. He; cream taglc hat. turned up at tin hack, had a tiny posy of roses shadin', from cream to tomato-red, at each sick and a wide band of gold tissue iu iron.
