STILL MISSING.
FISHING LAUNCH AND CREW. By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, October 12. There is still no trace of the men on the launch Dauntless who have been missing s.ncc Sunday morning from Lyttelton. 'To-dav the master of the trawler Muriel made a thorough search of all places along the Peninsula where the men would be likely to take refuge, but lie saw nothing of them or the launch.
The missing nien are-.' —John McNeill, aged 45, married proprietor of a boardinghouse in Dublin Street, Lyttelton. Patrick Breen, aged 45, singe, of Lyttelton.
Alex McLean, single, who boarded with McNeill. The Dauntless is about 28 ft in length and is termed a “doublc-ender.” She would be difficult to handle in a. rough sea. The men left Lyttelton on Sunday morning to fish, with little or no petroL or provisions on board. Some residents of the Peninsula Bays are still of opinion that the men are sheltering in one of the smaller bays. Vesasc's arriving at Lyttelton to-day, which bad been advised by wireless to keep a. look out, report no sign of the launch.
