MART REPORTS.
THE RIALTO. H. Allchurch and Co. report for the fortnight ended Saturday, October 2. At our weekly sales on each Friday, we had a good entry of poultry and pigs, and prices realised were as follows: Poultry.—Hens 6/9 to 8/3, cockerels G/- to 10/G, roosters 5/3 to 8/-, ducks 5/6 to 8/-, all at.per paii, liens and chicks S/-, geese 5/- each, cockerel chicks 3d each. Pigs.—Weaners 22/-, 25/-, 26/-, 27/- and 30/- each, with a very heavy demand. Slips 28/- to 36/-. Porkers 51/- each. Produce. —Wheat 25/- to 27/-, potatoes 6/- to 9/-, seed potatoes 5/to 8/-, all at per sack, cauliflower 3/to 5/- per dozen, tomato plants 2/per tin, honey (601 b tins) Gd per lb. Fruit. — Apples (dessert) 5/- to 8/-, cookers 3/- to 7/- per case. Eggs.—Good supplies of S.C. Circle Eggs are coming forward and the demand is very keen, due to clients taking advantage of the cheap price to preserve their supplies. The price for the week was 1/4 per dozen. Household Furniture and Effects. On Friday of each week at our rooms, we held a clearing sale of household furniture and effects, on account of a client, when a clearance was effected, satisfactory prices being obtained.

Pi gs .—small 15/-, good 2 5/-. Table potatoes, red, 7/6, white 8/-, seed (slow of sale) 4/- to 4/G sack. Wheat seconds 22/6 to 26/-, whole to 20/-, oats 20/-, milk cans 14/- to 20/-. Good demand for second-hand furniture. Fruit. —Rhubarb 21d, apples 5/to 8/6. Big supplies of lettuce, cabbage and cauliflower.

The Waimate Auction Mart report haviim held their weekly sale in their vards”on Saturday, of pigs, poultry, furniture and sundries. There was a large yarding of pigs, 82 being forward. There was a large attendance of buyers and competition Was keen throughout. Prices remain unchanged. Poultry is in short supply with fail inquiry. Tho demand for cows is slackening off and only good sorts are saleab'e. The market is well supplied with vegetables. Eggs aro firm at late rates, and those contemplating preserving would be well advised to do so now. We sold : Pigs.—Best woaners 29s (id, others 2ts (id to 275, small 20s to 23s 6d, small stores 35s to 395, large ‘los to 575. Poultry.—Old liens Is Cd to 2s each, cockerels' 2s (id to 3s each, ducks 5s pair. Produce. —Wheat 28s sack, seconds 22s Gd sack, oats 3s Cd bushel, potatoes 10s sack, eggs Is to Is 2d dozen, shell grit 10s per 1001 b hag, onions Gd lb. We also held a sale of furniture and effects on account of Mr R. Waddell. Everything was in good order, and competition was keen throughout. Everything was cleared at. satisfactory prices.
