MINIATURE RIFLES.
CLAREMONT CLUB. At the weekly shoot the following made the highest; scores of the rifle: F. Armstrong 34, F. Biggs 33, J. Dunnill 33, F. Chittock 33, P. Brosnan 33, A. McConnell 33, L. G. Smith 32, Bert Price 32, B. O’Brien 31, F. Elliott 31. The trophy (Mr Biggs’s) was won by J. Green after an interesting shoot-off. The challenge for the week goes to F. Armstrong, and for the previous week to F. Biggs. TIMARU CLUB. For the Timaru M.R. Club’s previous week’s shoot the best scores off the rifle were:—A. Shanks 35, H. Ede 35, R. Lovegrove 35. J. Murphy 34, R. Cairns 34, W. Malcolm 34, W. Bradshaw 33. J. Stevenson 33, J. Thomas 33, F. Lewis 33, H. Sinclair 33. A. Shanks won the first stage of J. Nov,•land's trophy, and for the second stage the following will shoot off:—-E. Berry, W. Duncan, R. Millar, C. Payne, 11. Parker, A. ShankS, J. Toneyciiffe, sen., AV. Thomas, R. Cairns, R. Lovegrove, J. Mooney, J. Packer, J. Thomas, A. Hutchins. For the eleventh weekly challenge medal J. Murphy and AIL Malcolm will shoot off. The following are the leading five for the Club Championship:—AV. Malcolm 303, AA r . Rennie 302, AV. Bradshaw 302, J. Stevenson 297, J. Murphy and J. Toneyciiffe jun. 296 each.
