ROYAL TOUR.

NO SIGN OF PREPARATIONS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association LONDON, August 10. The Renown is now lying north of the Royal jetty at Portsmouth with patches of red paint relieving the navy grey. T'here are no signs of any preparation for the Royal voyage, indeed, no definite intimation has vet been reached. The authorities at Portsmouth, state that she has been selected for the Duke of York’s tour. The Renown, is practically unaltered from the condition in which she returned with tho Prince of “Wales, but it is estimated that six weeks in the dockyard hands would suffice to prepare her for another Royal trip. As arrangements stand the Renown is in on half commission, and is due to complete her full crew by September 2 for service with tho Atlantic Fleet, after which she returns to Portsmouth for the crew’s Christmas leave.
