The newspapers are drawing attention to the Imperial Conference, lot which arrangements aro well advanced. The “Morning Post,” reviewing Ihe tonics to bo discussed, lays stress on the fact that Mr Bruce has announced ho will press for greater preference lor Empire products. Regarding migration, this journal says that there is a. growing desire among members of the House of Commons that tho Empire Settlement Act shall bo amended, especially in the direction of preliminary training and testing intending emigrants.
